Barbara Mills
Barbara is the new Executive Director of Voice of Hope Pregnancy Centers. She has been a Christian for 26 years and in Ministry for 16 years. Her and her husband, Jason, have been married for almost 13 years. She and Jason have been serving as Children’s Ministers at Victory in Truth Ministries since 2008.
They have three beautiful children. Hannah is their oldest daughter and was born August of 2003. Hadessah is their middle child and she was born October 2007. Keylen is their baby boy. He was born July 2011. He was placed in the Mills’ home shortly after birth in Foster Care. He stayed with them until he was officially adopted in December of 2013.
Barbara accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 1989 at the tender age of 8 years old. She began teaching in Teen Ministry at age 19 and serving the Lord in many capacities since. She has been drawn to prolife ministries by listening intently to Focus on The Family with her mother growing up. She considers Dr. James Dobson to be a spiritual mentor.
While teaching and serving through the years, Barbara connected with a pro-life ministry within her church. In 2007 the ministry (Respond for Life) allowed her to channel her Passion in prolife efforts. She was a part of a team that rallied peacefully at the capital in Columbus and several times at the Women’s Clinic on Cleveland Ave.  It was with Respond for Life that Barbara learned of Voice of Hope. She began attending Banquets and supporting the Ministry in 2011. Barbara was able to become a volunteer in 2015 as the previous director’s assistant. While in service she raised funds, recruited fundraising participants and created an outreach team. She and her team attended community events extending outreach efforts in the communities represented by VOH.
As the new director of Voice of Hope Barbara is excited to engage the communities and work hard to help abortion minded/vulnerable mothers choose life. She is partnered with other community leaders to help the ministry connect with residents who need spiritual support and parental education. She has a motto that states…
“If you build strong parents… strong parents will build strong families… and strong families will build strong communities.”
