Barbara Mills

Barbara is the Executive Director of Voice of Hope Pregnancy Centers. She and her husband, Jason, have been married for 14 years and have been serving in Children’s Ministry, at Victory in Truth Ministries, since 2008.They have three beautiful children. Hannah (2003), Hadessah (2007) and Keylen is their youngest. He was born 2011 and was placed in the Mills’ home, shortly after birth, in foster care. Keylen stayed with them until he was officially adopted in December of 2013.
In 1989, Barbara accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the tender age of 9, and was drawn to the prolife cause by listening to Focus on the Family. Barbara considers Dr. James Dobson to be one of her many spiritual mentors. At age 19, she began teaching in teen ministry and serving the Lord in many capacities. In 2007, Barbara was finally able to connect with a pro-life ministry within her church called Respond for Life, which allowed her to channel her passion in prolife efforts, engaging in peaceful rallies at the capital in Columbus and abortion clinics in Ohio.  It was through Respond for Life that Barbara learned about Voice of Hope. In 2011 she began attending Banquets and then eventually supporting the Ministry. Barbara was able to become a volunteer in 2015 as the previous director’s assistant. While in service, she raised funds, recruited fundraising participants, and created an outreach team. In August of that year she was hired as the Executive Director.
As the director of Voice of Hope, Barbara is excited to engage the communities and work hard to help abortion minded/vulnerable mothers choose life by offsetting the typical anxieties caused by an unplanned pregnancy. She has partnered with other community leaders to help the ministry connect with residents who need spiritual support, prenatal, and parental education. She has a motto that states… “If you build strong parents… strong parents will build strong families… and strong families will build strong communities.” She believes, reducing the fear and anxiety of parenting with the power of prayer, education and mentorship, will return full circle in saving innocent lives.
