I am very active in church and have been or am currently a Sunday school teacher, on the Praise Team, Choir; helping the youth with dramas/skits and other activities.  I have served on various committees within the church.  I am employed by JSUMC as the Church Administrator and completely enjoy the entire ministry.  I am a mother of two (daughter and son); one in college, the other going to college in the fall and look forward to the next stages in our lives.  My husband is a Parole officer and an Associate Pastor at John Stewart UMC.   We have been married for 23 years and we look forward to many more years of marriage and service to our Lord and Savior.  I became of follower of Christ at a young age and I always enjoy learning more about our Heavenly Father and serving Him.
My favorite bible verse is Psalms 46:10 (NIV) He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”  My favorite songs are “Because He Lives” and “I’ll Fly Away”.  I love chocolate too J
I look forward to working for Voice of Hope! I am willing and ready to serve as God would have me and pray that I am able to reach those in need, with of course all the wonderful volunteers that Voice of Hope has on staff. I feel lead to be in this position to help others.  I have had many experiences in my life that can connect me with various situations that young mothers can relate to.  My oldest sister had her first child at the age of 16, her second at 18 and is married to their father for now 37 years.  It hasn’t been an easy road for them, but through our Lord and Savior they were able to overcome many obstacles and succeed.  My younger sister found out at age 16 she was unable to bore a child.  We learned that God gives you children in many various ways.  Through His love and grace, she and her husband were able to adopt two handsome boys at birth.  I am so fortunate to have a total of 17 nieces and nephews and 3 great nephews and niece (also by adoption)!  God is good….all the time….and all the time…God is good!!
