3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk for Life

By Barbara Mills |  June 15, 2016

On June 4th, 2016, VOH held our 3rd annual 5k Run/Walk in Marion Ohio. The morning was introduced with a little rain, but when it was time to begin registration the sun made its marvelous appearance. The entire event was filled with smiling faces ready to run or walk for Voice of Hope. We introduced the ‘’Fun Run’’ and invited kids to participate by running one mile. There were six smiling faces at the starting line.
The estimated total of participants was 35 children and 37 adults. We also had a total of 30 volunteers. That is AMAZING! Our financial goal for the walks and 5k was $10,000. We raised $3,600 in Upper/Bucyrus walks and $3,500 in Marion. Thanks to Modern Woodman of America’s Matching funds and Kohl’s Cares $500 Contribution Voice of Hope has exceeded the $10,000 goal. We would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make the event a success.  We know God is blessing this ministry.
Thank You Peacock Water and Panera Bread for the water and coffee.

We would also like to say a special thank you to the local businesses who contributed Raffel Items for our participants.
